Four Maryland Terrapins are hiding out somewhere in downtown Silver Spring. The “Fear the Turtle” scultpures are part of a celebration of the 150th anniversary of the states flagship university at College Park. The Testudos will be hanging out in downtown Silver Spring for six months.

Soooooo played out. Are we that awash with cash that we can waste it on this? Are we lacking creativity/imagination?
Unbelievable
Maybe I’m just bias but I thought the Testudo sculptures are much cooler than the Panda, Crabs, and Elephant sculptures that were spread through Baltimore and Washington. They have a deeper meaning, show Maryland pride and just plain look better than all the other sculptures from years past.
