Silver Spring Teacher Wins National Teacher Of the Year Award

Kimberly Oliver has been named 2006 National Teacher of the Year. She has been teaching at Broad Acres Elementary School since 2000 as a kindergarten teacher. The top teacher in the country who preaches “Book and Supper Nights” to parents will take a year off from the classroom as she tours the nation telling schools about good teaching habits.
