Easter Seals Center Finally Under Way

After sitting as vacant lot for quite some time the $15 million Easter Seals center will finally begin construction in July, though smaller than originally planned. The Easter Seals⁄Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Inter-Generational Center is planned for opening in september 2007.
The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation recently auctioned off eight properties that are part of a larger whole in Baltimore on May 25th. The properties have been labeled as the reason for urban blight and an obstacle to redevelopment in the west side of Baltimore because they have sat vacant under the foundation for 20+ years.
