It’s Official, Birchmere Will Touchdown in Silver Spring

Silver Spring Singular reports that the Birchmere will be constructed in Silver Spring through word of a press release from Montgomery County Government. The official release makes it well…official and will be one of the many last memorable acts by County Executive Doug Duncan. Can Silver Spring property values get any higher?

UPDATE:According to a Gazette article the Birchmere will be larger than the Alexandria location. Leggett and Silverman both support the project.

    Folk music enjoys an enormous fan base in the area (I’m not one of them, but my parents are, from time to time). Country less so, but I do think their line-ups are a bit more diverse than that. You can check out their website at http://www.birchmere.com.

    Just saw a big poly sign hanging from the front of the JC Penney building…says “Future Home of The Birchmere”.
