By Silver Springer • Dec 13th, 2006 • Category: Uncategorized

There has been a dearth of news in Silver Spring lately, but keep your eyes peeled for the latest development news.

â–º The Gazette reports they’ve moved out of Silver Spring and into Laurel (they seem quite excited about it too).

â–º There seems to be a push to make the “renowned” Silver Spring Penguin the official mascot by Jerry McCoy, president of the Silver Spring Historical Society and others.

â–º DB Consulting Group, Inc is now the anchor tenant for Silver Spring Metro Plaza/8403 Colesville Road, the company’s logo is displayed on the side facing Second Avenue, at the top left corner of Silver Spring’s tallest building. The last anchor to have their logo displayed on the building was AT&T.

â–º The Discovery Shark may frequent Silver Spring because of a zoning text amendment. Of course many won’t be able to see it (or any other iteration) because of the transit center.
