Over at the South Silver Spring Neighborhood Association group board, one commenter notes some hearsay about the 1200 Blair Mill project, now the the Argent.

Silver Spring Office Vacancy, 2nd Quarter 2007 (Updated)

According to CB Richard Ellis Silver Spring’s office vacancy dipped to 5.27% down .03% from 5.30% in the first quarter of 2007.
The lower vacancy reflects the removal of 24,402 square feet from total inventory between the first quarter and the second quarter of 2007 according to CBRE’s calculations.
