Discovery’s Third Quarter Earnings
By Silver Springer • Nov 14th, 2007 • Category: News Round Up
Usually discrete about their financial situation, Discovery has openly shed some light on their third quarter earnings and the news looks good. Good enough at least that it doesn’t warrant moving jobs to crappy Cali?
I say give it five to ten years and Montgomery County will be just like L.A. anyways and then there will be no need to move!
Discovery’s consolidated third quarter revenue increased 6% to $745 million and operating cash flow increased 13% to $231 million. Excluding Travel Channel results from 2006, revenue increased 10% and operating cash flow increased 14%. The revenue increase was due to a 9% increase in advertising revenue, flat distribution revenue, and a $2 million increase in commerce revenue.

Well, Silver Spring has supposedly been referred to as “Burbank East”…
You have heard, haven’t you, that Discovery is thinking about moving to NYC?
Last one out turn off the lights.
I don’t see why they’d want to move, especially since they’ve only been in Silver Spring for about 4 years. I wonder what would happen to Silver Spring if they left?
