Car Show in downtown Silver Spring

I hate to push the corporate advertising in your face (unless they’re a nice locally based neighbor) but I couldn’t resist because this is pretty cool in my humble opinion. I love cars so I was quite surprised to get this e-mail. Didn’t think Silver Spring would host anything remotely close to its own car show but Silver Spring has once again exceeded my expectations (which were pretty high in the first place). No need to deal with D.C. chaos anymore cause General Motors along with Honest Tea (the Bethesda based beverage company that Coca-Cola bought a 40% stake this year) are sponsoring the event. And who wants to miss out on a free drink?

Hey, is this a joke? I walked over to downtown Silver Spring yesterday (Saturday, May 31) at around 5 pm. Looked all over & saw now no sign new cars or anything outside the ordinary.
During the morning and early afternoon, there was crazy weather going on, so they probably decided to go with the rain date which is posted on the ad: june 7th, even though at 5 pm it was sunny.
