Did you miss the Silver Spring Scene? Checking out the other blogs there hasn’t been much to miss. News has been slow in Silver Spring as the local government heads have been out of session but now they’re back doing what they do for better or worse.

September always feels like the Monday of the year, so far a few highlights have come through

• The turf is gone (but you already saw this coming)
• Construction on the Civic Center will begin soon
• The planning board gives preliminary approval to the Falkland North Development, so they are willing to lose the “arm”, “head ” or whatever of the Falkland Chase Development (inside joke).

In the coming week and over the next few days, the Silver Spring Scene does what it does best…touch the taboo. We’ll take an inside look at what others aren’t noticing and refuse to talk about.
